Snow again in Asheville

Last evening, as my children and husband slept, the snow began sprinkling and layering softly like a blanket. So pretty and magical in the dark of night with its crystal glow of light. It was as though it was my snow, as I was the first to witness it falling. We have had more snow in Asheville these past 2 weeks, than we have for 10 years. Friday the 18th and Saturday the 19th brought 12 plus inches of the white stuff, which kept us in our house for nearly 2 days.

My funny husband disappeared that Saturday Morning following the big Friday snow, and when what to my eyes should appear out the window? HIM, SLEDDING down our hill, by himself! It was hysterical and heart warming to me. Except for his 6′2″ frame, and 48 years of age…. he was a small child in absolute delight ! I promptly sent children outside swaddled in layers of snow gear, for him to “play” with !
Pettiskirts are just so popular, and for for gift giving these past 2 Christmases and Hanukkah, we were in the weeds, and covered up with orders from Halloween to Christmas Eve .
